Network
- A computer is a collection of interconnected independent computers.
- A network consists of two or more than two computers that are linked in order to share resources, information can be exchanged and allow communication.
- The computer on a network may be connected through cable (wires) or without cable(wireless medium).
Advantage of computer network:
- Data and program files can be shared.
- Hardware resources can be shared.
- Financial benefit.
- Better communication medium.
- Access to remote data.
- Reliability
Types of network:
There are several types of networks-
- Based on Area (size)
- Based on Management method
- Based on Topology (Network Structure)
- Based on Connection Type
