๐ŸŒ Types of Websites

Websites can be broadly classified into two main types:

  1. Static Websites (client side)

  2. Dynamic Websites

๐Ÿ“ Static Websites

  • A Static Website displays fixed content that does not change unless manually updated by the webmaster.

  • Content remains constant or fixed for every visitor.

  • Built using HTML (sometimes with CSS for styling).

  • Does not require databases or programming knowledge.

  • Content changes only when the webmaster edits the code.

  • Cost-efficient → ideal for small businesses, personal portfolios, or basic company profiles.

โš™๏ธ Dynamic Websites

A Dynamic Website displays content that can change automatically based on user interaction, time, or database updates.

  • Content is dynamic and interactive.

  • Retrieves information from a database or Content Management System (CMS).

  • When the database is updated, the website content changes automatically.

  • Built using server-side programming languages, such as:

    • PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor)

    • ASP (Active Server Page)

    • JSP (Java Server Page)

    • Ruby, etc.

  • Commonly used for e-commerce sites, blogs, forums, social networks, and news portals.

Example: Amazon, Facebook, Online Banking, News Websites.
