Introduction to Photo Editing

  • Photo editing is the process of enhancing, modifying, or correcting digital images.
  • A photo editor is a software application or tool that allows users to manipulate and enhance digital images.
  • It helps improve image quality, adjust colors, remove unwanted parts, add text, apply effects, and prepare images for print, web, or social media.
  • Common photo editing software includes Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, Krita, Canva, and Paint.NET.

Note - According to our Syllabus we only study about Adobe Photoshop 7.0.

2.) Color mode in Photo Editor –

There are 5 color modes in Adobe Photoshop .-

  1. RGB MODE - (Red , Green , Blue ) 

  2. CMYK MODE (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black)

  3. GREYSCALE MODE (Uses only shades of gray, from pure black (0) to pure white (255).)

  4. BITMAP MODE 

  5. LAB MODE ( It separates the image's Lightness  L from its Color A and B . )
