View Menu
This menu contains commands for controlling the on-screen display of the document.
Writer View Type:
i. Normal (By Default View)
ii. Web
Toolbars: Opens a sub menu to show and hide toolbars. A toolbar contains icons and options that let you quikly access Libre-office commands (3D- settings, Drawing toolbar, Formatting toolbar, standard toolbar, Drawing objects........etc).
User Interface: The LibreOffice Writer user interface is highly customizable, offering several "User Interface Variants" accessible through View > User Interface.Common UI elements include:
- Menu Bar
- Toolbars with icons for common actions
- A central Workspace for text
- Optional Sidebars for context-specific tools
- A Status Bar for document details like word count and zoom
Users can switch to a tabbed or single-toolbar interface to suit their workflow or screen size.
Status Bar: Shows or hides the status bar at the bottom edge of the window.
Rulers(Ctrl+Shift+R): Contains a sub-menu for showing hiding the horizontal and vertical rulers.
Scrollbars: Show or Hide the Horizontal and Vertical Scroll bars that are used to change the viewable area of a document that doesn't fit within the window.
Grid and Helpline: Grid and help lines help with object movement and precise positioning.
Formattinge Marke (C1-F10): Shows Hidden formatting symbols in your jext,such as a paragraph marks, Line breaks, Tab and spaces.
Text Boundaries: Shows or Hides the boundaries of the printable area of a page. The boundary lines are not printed.
Table Boundaries: Shows/Hides the borders of the cells.
Images and charts: Show/Hide graphical object like images and charts within a document.
Comments: Show/Hide a documents comments.
Hide whitespace: Show/Hide white spaces found at beginning and the end of pages.
Track changes: Shows or hides record changes.
Field Names(Ctrl+F9): Shows or hides Field Names.
Field Shadings(Ctrl+F18): Shows or hides Shadings around fields in your document.
Sidebar(Ctrl+F5): Shows or hides sidebar.
Styles (F11): Use the styles, create, edit and remove formatting styles. Double-click an entry to apply the style.
Gallery: Opens the Gallery, where you can select images and, audio clips to insert into your document.
Navigator(F5):Shows/Hides the navigator window, where you can quickly jump to different parts of your document.
Data sources(Ctrl+Shift+F4)
Full Screen (Ctr+Shift+J): Shows or Hides the menus and toolbars in Writer or Calc. To exit the full screen mode, click the Full screen button or press the Esc key.
Zoom: Reduce or enlarges the screen display of Libre-office.
