CLOUD COMPUTING
- Cloud Computing refers to the use of hosted services, such as data storage, server, database, networking and software over the internet.
- The data is stored on a physical server, which is maintained by a cloud service provider.
- Cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computer system resources, especially data storage( cloud storage) and computing, without direct active management by the user.
some cloud provides are :-
- Amazon web Service (Aws)
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Platform
- IBM Cloud service
- Adobe Creative cloud
- Red hat
- oracle cloud
- Drop box
Advantage of cloud computing :-
- Low Cost
- Storage Capacity
- Reliability
- Security
TYPES OF CLOUD COMPUTING
1.) Public Cloud :
- Public cloud services are provided by third party providers and are accessible to anyone over the Internet.
- Resources are shared among multiple users, offering scalability and cost effectiveness.
- Example – Amazon web services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud platform(GCP).
2.) Private Cloud :
- Private cloud is dedicated to a single organization and is either hosted on by a third-party provider.
- It provides more control customization, and security but may have higher upfront costs.
3.)Hybrid Cloud :
- Hybrid cloud combines both public and private cloud environments, allowing data and applications to be shared between them.
- It Provides flexibility ,allowing organizations to leverage the benefits of both cloud models.
TYPES OF CLOUD COMPUTING SERVICES-
Cloud computing services are categorized into mainly three parts –
1.) Infrastructure as a service ( IAAS )
2.) Platform as a service ( PAAS )
3.) Software as a service ( SAAS )
1.) INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE( IAAS)
- It is a services model that delivers computer infrastructure on an outsourced basis to support various operations.
- It is also known as HAAS ( Hardware as a service ), because it provides networking equipment, devices, database, and web servers.
- Iaas customers pay on a per-user basis.
2.) PLATFORM AS A SERVICE( PAAS)
- Paas is a category of cloud computing that provides a platform and environment to allow developers to build applications and services over the internet.
- It provides host development tools on their own infrastructure.
- It can be accessed by users on the internet using APIs, Web portals or gateway software.
- Paas user pay per use basis
3.) SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE( SAAS)
- It is a distribution model which delivers software applications over the internet.
- This service is known as web services.
- you can Access Saas application and services on your computer or on mobile device at any location
