 Format Menu

About format Menu:

       This menu groups options for applying and managing various types of formatting to selected text, paragraphs, images, and the            page itself.

Text:

  • Applies character formatting such as bold, italic, uppercase, lowercase, Line spacing, Increase Indents and Decrease Indents.
  • Line spacing and Indents specifically control the vertical space between lines and the distance of the paragraph from the margins.

Alignment:

  • Sets the horizontal positioning of the selected paragraph to Left, Right, Center, or Justified.

List, Bullets(shift+ F12) and Numbering(F12):

  • Applies Bullets or Numbering to the selected text or list items.

*No list: ctrl+shift+F12

Clone Formatting:

  • Allows you to copy the formatting from one selected section (e.g., a paragraph) and apply it to another.

Clear Direct Formatting(ctrl+M):

  • Removes any manually applied formatting from the selected paragraph, reverting it to the default style.

Character, Paragraph, Bullets & Numbering (Properties):

  • Opens a dialog box to set detailed properties for the font (Character), layout (Paragraph), or Bullets and Numbering of the selected content.

Page:

  • Sets global document properties like page margin, page orientation, and other page settings.

Title Page:

  • Used for defining the first page of the project as a title page with special formatting.

Comments:

  • Inserts a comment about the selected paragraph.

Columns:

  • Allows the typed paragraph to be divided into two or more columns.

Sections: Through this option, we appling formating on selected sections.

Watermark:

  • Applies a transparent  text in the background of the page.

Image:

  • Provides options for editing the selected image (e.g., Crop, Replace, Compress, Save, Filter, Color).

Text box and Shapes:

  • Enables editing the properties of a created Shape or Text Box.

Frame and object: 

Name and Description: Select the material they want to use and then convey the information to readers.

Anchor: Anchoring refers to the reference point for the images. An image always has an anchor point with the  icon. 

Wrap: The Wrap feature controls how text flows around objects(like an image, table, or shape) within a document.

Arrange: Arrangement refers to controlling the layering or stacking order of objects (like images, shapes, or other graphics) within a document, allowing you to place them in front of or behind each other.

Rotate or Flip:This function rotates an element around a fixed point on the 2D plane without altering its shape or size.

Group and Ungroup: Grouping combines multiple selected objects (like shapes or images) into a single unit that can be moved, resized, or formatted together, while ungrouping reverses this process, separating the grouped objects to allow individual editing.
